Office-to-flats conversion of Boat Race House, Richmond

Overview

Barton Knight Electrical was engaged as the electrical contractor on the redevelopment of a commercial building in Richmond-upon-Thames, London, into high-end residential apartments.

The Boat Race House overlooks the finishing line of the world-famous Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge universities, held annually on the River Thames between Putney and Mortlake since 1829.

Previously an office with two commercial units, the Boat Race House was converted into 14 flats with two further penthouses constructed on a new top floor.

Matthew Barton, Managing Director of Barton Knight Electrical, comments: “We’ve been involved in a number of high specification office-to-residential conversions so we have the depth of experience to complete these complex projects in line with the client’s programme.”
